
OGA has teamed up with Autism Speaks to host its first annual Christmas drop n' shop! This provides parents with the opportunity to Christmas shop while their children are at OGA! The drop n' shop is specifically designed for children with autism. There will many fun activities as well as low student / teacher ratios to ensure the safety of all participants.
Pre Registration is required. Last day to register is December 11th
Price: Parents may choose to pay an hourly rate of $10.00 per child, or a flat rate of $50 per child for the entire day 10 - 4.
20% of the proceeds will be donated to Autism Speaks.
Activities will include: games, art, pit, trampoline, structured gymnastics time, bounce house & games!
*We will provide a very structured visual schedule for children so they are aware of how they will spend their time at OGA.

Oregon Gymnastics Academy's, Rhythmic Team, earned 15 top 12 placements at JO Nationals.
Norfolk, VA (May 31, 2009) -- The Oregon Gymnastics Academy Rhythmic Team took home a remarkable 15 top 12 placements at the Junior Olympic National Competition, held at Virginia Wesleyan College, on May 29th through May 31st, 2009.
OGA had nine gymnasts qualify for the Junior Olympic National competition. Noteworthy placements include, Erin Xu (level 4, 8-9 age division) 3rd on floor, 9th on ball and 8th All Around, Ellie Chang, (level 4, 6-7 age division) 10th on floor, 9th on hoop, 7th on ball and 8th All Around, Belinda Fang, (level 4, 10-11 age division) 8th on floor, 10th on hoop, 9th on ball, and 9th All Around, Mckenzie Vanko (level 5, 6-7 age division) 11th on rope, 5th on hoop and 12th All Around.
In addition, other JO qualifiers include Lola Waggoner (level 4), Ashley Chu (level 4), Sydney Nagy (level 4), Kianna Killian (level 6), and Danielle Park (level 6).
OGA Head Rhythmic Coach, Jayme Vincent, said of the girls exceptional showing "The OGA rhythmic team exceeded my expectations at this competition. They fought jet lag and nerves to compete with the best gymnasts from across the country. For many of the girls, it was their first competition outside of our region. They had strong performances and brought home several medals as well as invaluable experience competing nationally. I am excited to see what the future holds for these talented girls!"
Oregon Gymnastics Academy Rhythmic Team Wins 24 State Titles
Beaverton, OR (April 4, 2009) -- The Oregon Gymnastics Academy, Rhythmic Team, took home an incredible 24 State Titles at the Oregon State Championships held this past weekend at Valley Catholic High School. OGA was honored to host the event.
All Around State Champions include, Ellie Chang (level 4, age 6-7), Erin Xu (level 4, age 8-9), Belinda Fang (level 4, age 10-11), McKenzie Vanko (level 5, age 12-13), Julianna Mazziotti (level 7, age 10-11).
In addition, Event Titles were won by Ashley Chu (level 4, age 8-9 ) on hoop, Ellie Chang (level 4, age 6-7) on floor, hoop and ball, Erin Xu (level 4, age 8-9) on floor and ball, Belinda Fang (level 4, age 10-11) on floor, hoop and ball, Alex Morales (level 5, age 10-11) on rope, McKenzie Vanko (level 5, age 12-13) on floor, hoop, rope and ball, Kiana Killian (level 6, age 10-11) on ball, and Julianna Mazziotti (level 7, age 10-11) on floor, rope, ball and clubs.
Rhythmic Head Coach, Jayme Vincent, said of the girl's performance "I am very proud of each one of the girls. They all gave strong performances and showed confidence, perseverance and good sportsmanship. As a team, they had their best competition of the year. They have proven that OGA's Rhythmic Team is a force to be reckoned with."
Next up for the OGA Rhythmic Team is the Region II Championships, April 18, 2009, at Pacific University, in Forest Grove, Oregon.
Oregon Gymnastics Academy Boy's Team
Wins 43 State Titles
Springfield, OR ( March 18, 2009) -- The Oregon Gymnastics Academy, Boy's Team, took home an unprecedented 43 State Titles, at the Oregon Men's State Championships held this past weekend at the Regional Sport's Center in Springfield, Oregon.
All Around State Champions include, Max Kaneshiro, (level 4 ages 8-9), Carson Williams, (level 5 ages 8-9), Matthew Harper, (level 5 ages 10-11), Carter Webb, (level 6 ages 8-9), Justin Olson, (level 6 ages 10-11), Samuel Altenhofen, (level 6 ages 12 and up), and Kyle Williams, (level 7 ages 10-11).
Team State titles went to the Level 4, 5 & 6 teams, coached by Brad Bridgewater and Mike Tomford. In addition, the Level 7 and Level 9 teams each took home second place.
The OGA Boy's Team will next compete in Bozeman, Montana, at the Region 2 Championships on April 4 & 5, 2009.
